Hattie Towery (10-14-13) No service

Hattie Ann Powers Towery, 81, of Atlanta, Ga. died on Monday, Oct. 14, at Dekalb Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga. She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Daniel Lee and Capitola McDougal Powers. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Irvin Towery, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Towery, an administrative assistant, was employed and retired with Temple Baptist Church.

Private Services were held.

She is survived by two children, James Martin Towery of Florida and Deborah Ann Fitzpatrick of Atlanta, Ga; five grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Joe Powers of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Jack Powers of Lexington, Ky.

In addition to her husband, Jimmy Irvin Towery and her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Daniel Powers, Mary O’Letha Smithson, Brownie Nichol and Bobby Powers.
