Oma “Pee-Wee” Edmondson was born July 29, 1939 in Tishomingo, Miss. the son of the late Clement and Juanita McRae Edmondson.

Mr. Edmondson was a self-employed carpenter, having retired from full-time construction work in 2004. He loved his garden and tending his flowers, and enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able. He was a Christian in faith.

Mr. Edmondson departed this life on Aug. 28, in Selmer, Tenn. at the age of 74 years, 30 days.

He is survived by his loving companion of 30 years, Rebecca Moore of Michie, Tenn.; a son, Stanley “Jake” Edmondson and wife Rhonda of Hernando, Miss.; three daughters: Ina Norman of Belmont, Miss., Teresa Leeth and husband Billy of Tuscumbia, Ala, and Angela Powers and husband Danny of Burnsville, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three sisters, his twin, Ona Lambert and husband Donnie of Iuka, Miss., Shannon Terry of Burnsville, Miss., and Rose Ward and husband Wayne of Corinth, Miss.; two brothers, Bill McRae of Double Springs, Ala. and Telford Edmondson and wife Lisa of Augusta, Ga; his step-mother,Memphis Cummings of Burnsville, Miss.; several nieces and nephews; extended family Marilyn Moore, Debi Bertalotto and husband Kevin, Belinda Henson and husband Jeff, and their children and grandchildren; and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Edmondson was preceded in death by a grandchild, Amanda (Leeth) Taylor, and a stepson, Nelson Moore.

Services were held on Friday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m.at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tenn. with Steven Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Pebble Hill Cemetery at Michie, Tenn. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
