Rebecca Lou “Becky” Tacker Umphrey
Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 18, 1953 the daughter of Dorothy Mae Ferrell Tacker Hardin and the late Harold D. Tacker.
Becky worked for 16 years for Clayton Mobile Homes in the finishing department. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ. Becky loved her children and her grandchildren.
She departed this life on Aug. 15, in Savannah, at the age of 60 years, 2 months and 28 days.
Becky is survived by her children, Joel Brandon Tacker, Jake Nathaniel Umphrey and Jeffrey Harold Umphrey, all of Savannah.
Five grandchildren, Brandon Chase Tacker, Dustin Creol Tacker, Kalista Pendley, Jake Nathaniel Umphrey and Emma Lou Umphrey; her mother, Dorothy Mae Ferrell Tacker Hardin of Savannah; one sister, Retta Sue Tacker White of Savannah; three brothers, Lloyd T. Tacker of Savannah, James Boyd Tacker of Red Bay, Ala., and Harold Junior Tacker of Savannah
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her step father, Bernice Hardin, one step sister, Caron Hardin McDonald and her grandparents, Homer and Lula Ferrell and Donald and Loutissa Tacker
Services were held on Aug.17,  at 3:00 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Gilbert Goff officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Hardin County.
