James Perry, 72, of Lexington, died Friday, Aug. 16.  
He was  born in Jackson, Tenn., the son of the late Edgar and Lucill Perry. He was united in marriage to Ann Sharpe who preceded him in death.
Mr. Perry lived in Henderson County and worked for Brown Shoe Company of Lexington, Tenn.
A Graveside Service was held on Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Sand Ridge Cemetery in Lexington, Tenn. with Bobby Beecham officiating.
He is survived by nine children, Joyce Brunt of Reagan, Tenn., Shelia Austin of Sardis, Tenn.,Timmy Perry of Huron, Tenn., Gerald Perry of Lexington, Tenn., Ricky Perry of Darden, Tenn., Greg Perry of Henderson, Tenn., Jeff Moody, Lucinda Moody  and Crystal Moody all of Lexington, Tenn.; three brothers, Johnny Perry of Jackson, Tenn., Billy Perry of Darden, Tenn. and Robert Perry of Lexington; two sisters, Doris Perry of Reagan, Tenn. and Louise Perry of Lexington, Tenn.; a large group of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Ann Perry, and his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Perry, one brother, Ben Perry and one sister, Shirley Perry Jones.
