Mary McLemore

Mary Thelma Huggins McLemore, 71, of Michie, died on Saturday, Aug. 3, at her residence. 

She was born in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Ida Mae Huggins. She was united in marriage to Joe McLemore of Michie, who survives.

Services were held on Monday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville. Burial followed at Michie Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery in Michie.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Joe McLemore, of Adamsville; one  daughter, Liz Hill of Adamsville, and a step daughter Amy Espinosa of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Milton Huggins of Savannah; four sisters, Nettie Robertson of Shiloh, Tenn., Nona Kiddy of Crump, Aquilla Killingsworth of Florien, La., and Penny Huggins of Savannah; and three grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J.W. Huggins and Joe Dan Huggins; four grandchildren, Jonathan Smolik, Tyler McLemore, Jessica McLemore, and Adam Daniel Busby.
