Lela Hortense Cooley Davis Dudley, 93, of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, at The Bridge at Ridgely.Â
She retired Â from GTE Sylvania, and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
Services were held on Friday, Aug. 2, at 3 p.m. Â in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Â Jack Henry and Terry Lynch officiating. Burial Â followed Â in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.Â
Survivors include her two daughters, Beverly McCulloch of Newbern and Sharon Davis of Savannah; a step-son, Donald Dudley of Dyersburg; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.Â
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh Davis and Richard Dudley; her parents, John and Lela Goff Cooley; a son, Bobby Wayne Davis; three sisters; three brothers; and a grandson-in-law.Â
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Dyer County Cancer Fund or to the American Heart Association
