Billy Gerald Legans, 73, of Savannah, died on Monday, July 22, at Hardin Home Nursing Home in Savannah.
He was born in Dresden, Tenn., the son of the late Herbert “Peg” and Hollie Ann Workman Legans.
Mr. Legans worked as a carpenter.
No services were held.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry L. Legans of Lake Charles, La., and Earl R. Legans of Morris Chapel; a daughter, Ruby Legans of Martin, Tenn.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larrie Higgins of Oak Lawn, Ill.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one son, F. Troy Legans; and one brother, Macon Legans.
