Danny Boyd Price was born in Hardin County on Dec. 15, 1963, the son of the late Buford Boyd “Pete” Price and Connie Sue Wood Price.
On Aug. 18, 1990, he was united in marriage to Vicky Wilkerson, who preceded her husband in death on April 30, 2012.
Mr. Price worked for ACBL Riverboat towing. He was a member of Olivet Pentecostal Church where he was baptized in 1977. Mr. Price was a compassionate, generous and quick witted person. He loved music and always helped everyone out and he especially enjoyed cooking a lot of dinners for everyone.
He departed this life on Thursday, July 11, in Savannah at the age of 49 years, 6 months and 26 days.Â
He is survived by his children, Christopher and Ashley Price; one stepson, Brad Blount and one stepdaughter, Brandi Mayhall; five grandchildren, Nick McDowell, Emily Sharp, Natalie Byrd, Taylor and Tyler Sharp; three sisters, Lisa Price Davison, Kathy JoAnn Neil and Lori Ann Clingan; one brother Donnie Lynn Price.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Lynn Price.
Services were held on Sunday, July 14, at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Billy Allegood officiating. Burial followed in the Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
