Mary Lucille Hudgens, 90, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, June 5, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.
She was born at Cumberland City, Tenn., the daughter of the late John Milton and Olean Wickham Parchment. She was united in marriage to George Miller Hudgens, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hudgens received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the Women’s College in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and retired from McNairy County General Hospital in Selmer. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church of Savannah.
Services were held on Friday, June 7, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jason Martindale officiating. Burial followed in the Graham Cemetery at Savannah.
She is survived by her children, James Miller Hudgens, Thomas Neil Hudgens, Vickie McLemore, John Milton Hudgens, and Rita Derr, all of Savannah; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray Parchment of Granite City, Ill.; and a sister, Jeanette Sykes of Madison, Tenn.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Roy and Samuel Parchment.
