Lee Davis Jr.

Lee Davis Jr., 85, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, May 15.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Lee and Hester Franks Davis. He was united in marriage to Margie Sue Neill, who survives.

Lee was a U.S. Army veteran. He had been employed with Savannah Processing for 20 years, Brown Shoe Company for 24 years, and retired from Piggly Wiggly. Lee was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Services were held on Friday, May 17, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Benny Taylor, Davy Austin officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Neill Davis of Savannah; sons, Tim and John Davis, both of Savannah; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Sally Kate Austin of Savannah; and brother, Bob Davis of Savannah.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Warren G. Davis; and three sisters, Myrtle Hanna, Blanche Lewis and Pauline White.
