Nadene Abrams

Nadene Abrams, 86, of Savannah, died on Friday, May 10, in Savannah.

She was born in Cypress Inn, Tenn., the daughter of the late Claude McFagen and Laura Mamie Wilkerson Abrams.

Services were held on Tuesday, May 14, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Wilburn Simmons, Michael Roach officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

Miss Abrams retired in 1991 from Highland Park School in Muscle Shoals, Ala., after 32 years of teaching first grade. She was a school teacher for a total of 42 years. Miss Abrams was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah, Alabama Education Association, Alabama Retired Teachers Association and life member of the National Education Association.

She is survived by one sister, Claudia Wilson of Savannah; and one brother, Ovid Abrams of Clifton; one niece and two nephews and one great niece.
