Bobby Gene Blalock Sr.

Bobby Gene Blalock Sr., 81, of Savannah, died Monday, April 29, in Savannah.

He was born in Carothersville, Mo., the son of the late Luther Stanley and Nannie Davis Blalock. He was united in marriage to Beulah May, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Blalock served his country in the United States Air Force and the United States Marines. He was a police officer in Wayne County, Tennessee and in Alabama.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 2, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Steve Nielsen officiating. Burial will follow in the Lutts Cemetery at Lutts, Tenn.

Mr. Blalock is survived by his children, Contrina Sagely of Adamsville, Regina Mitchell of Savannah, Stevie Blalock and David Blalock, both of Collinwood, Tenn.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Buddy Blalock of Waynesboro.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Blalock Jr.; one grandson; and one sister, Stella Butler.
