Roxy "Margaret" Franks Rowlett, 85, of Hanceville, Ala., formerly of Savannah, died on Wednesday, April 17.

She was the daughter of the late Carl and Maude Franks of Waterloo, Ala. She was united in marriage to Arvile Rowlett, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Rowlett worked as an RN at the Veterans Hospital and was a member of East Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church.

Graveside services were held at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, Ky.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Martin of Hanceville, Ala.; a granddaughter she raised as a daughter, Dana Smith Kritner; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Keating of Jackson, Miss., Ruth Fisher of Savannah, and Martha Busbee of Atlanta; brothers, Len of Charlottesville, N.C., Otis of Louisville, Ky. and James Paul Franks of Knoxville.

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Anna Kirkland, Emogen Cox and Marie Franks; and brothers, Wayne, Earl, Taylor, John and Omby Franks.
