Chester Sheets Jr.

Chester Thomas Sheets Jr., 84, died on Sunday, April 7.

He was born in Jonesboro, Ark., the son of the late Chester Thomas Sr. and Mildred Jewel Sullins Sheets. He was united in marriage to Merlene Christine Wadlington, who survives.

Mr. Sheets served honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Dayton, Texas, Skwiat American Legion Post, Teamsters Union, and attended Morris Chapel Baptist Church in Morris Chapel. He had worked for Dow Chemical, Swift & Co., Kuhn Distributors, Ruan Transport and Clark Equipment.

He is survived by his wife Merlene Sheets of Morris Chapel; daughter, Beverly Bildhauser of Morris Chapel; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Sheets of Farmers Branch, Texas, Carl Sheets of Michigan City, Ind.; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Sheets; a daughter, Pamela Sheets; brothers, Joseph, James and Jack Sheets; sister, Alma Wondergem.
