Bertha Stricklin

Bertha Stricklin, 98, of Savannah, died on Saturday, April 6.

She was born in Wayne County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Green and Linnie Franks Brown. She was united in marriage to Walker Stricklin, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Stricklin was a member of Abrams Chapel United Methodist Church.

Services were held on Monday, April 8, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Herman Franks officiating. Burial followed in the Petty Branch Cemetery at Hardin County.

Mrs. Stricklin is survived by her children, Alta Mae Stricklin, Jerry Walter Stricklin and Linda "Janie" Abrams, all of Savannah; brother, James Robert Brown of Adamsville; sister, Robbie Lee Wolfe of Savannah.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Ray Stricklin; brothers, Millard and Graford Brown; sisters, Sally Stricklin, Carrie Stricklin, Lorene Brown and Charlene Brown.
