Josie White

Josie R. White, 91, of Enville, died Monday, March 11.

She was born in Popular Bluff, Mo., the daughter of the late Lloyd Jasper and Mintie Reynolds Ray. She was united in marriage to Lavern Allen "LA" White, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. White was a homemaker. She was the oldest living member of Solitude Free Will Baptist Church in Adamsville and had been a member for more than 40 years.

Services were held on Thursday, March 14, at Solitude Free Will Baptist Church in Adamsville with Shane Thompson and Danny Hopper officiating. Burial followed in the Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville.

She is survived by five daughters, Alice Mae Starnes, Zendia Lee White, Carmellitta Capooth, all of Enville, Linda Earnest of Middleton, Tenn., Terra Michael of Ramer, Tenn.; a son, Tony White of Olive Branch, Miss.; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sons, Junior William, William Wally, Dennis Rowland "Ray" White; three grandchildren; seven siblings.
