John Griffin
John William Griffin, 96, of Morris Chapel, died on Sunday, Feb., 24.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Minor and Viola Majors Griffin. He was united in marriage to Edra Rebecca Maners, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Griffin was a farmer by trade. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Neil Stewart officiating. Burial followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Saltillo.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandy Griffin of Morris Chapel; nephews and nieces; several great-nephews and great-nieces.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Griffin.
