Barney Pitts, 77, of Savannah, died Thursday, Feb. 21.
He was born in Hardin County, Tenn., the son of the late James L. and Mae Celsie Watson Pitts.
Mr. Pitts was self-employed in maintenance work. He was a past member of St. John’s Church in Savannah.
Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Eddie Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary Ruth Griffin of Savannah, Minnie Sims of Glendale, Wis., and Bernice Raullerson of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, James A. Pitts of Milwaukee, Wis.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lee Pitts.
