Marie Burkeen

Marie Irvin Burkeen, 78, of Jacks Creek, Tenn., died Saturday, Jan. 26, at Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Jimmy and Ethel Irvin. She was married to R.B. Burkeen, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Burkeen was a homemaker and a Baptist in belief.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors–Johnson Chapel with Dwight Jones officiating. Burial followed in Sweetlips Cemetery in Chester County.

She is survived by a son, Chris Burkeen of Luray; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Youvon Presley of Sardis and Glenda Pusser of Jackson; and a brother, Leon Ervin of Scotts Hill.
