James Davis

James Howard Davis, 57, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Jan. 22.

He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Jack and Lucille Davis. He was united in marriage to Zeldia Kay Callins, who survives.

Mr. Davis had previously been a truck driver for Eagle Express. He had also worked for Aqua Glass, Tombigbee, A&M, Cardinal, and CHD trucking. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Services were held on Friday, Jan. 25, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Savannah with Derek Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.

He is survived by his wife, Zeldia Kay Davis of Savannah; daughter, Angela Kay Copeland of Savannah; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Davis Rice, Lisa Smith, Jean Crowe, and Shirley Fowler; brothers, Jim and Billy Davis.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Jason Aylon Davis; and a brother, Ben Davis.
