Beverly Lott Freeman, 65, of Milledgeville, died Thursday, Jan. 24, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Jarmon Ova and Bessie Beatrice Williams Lott. She married Gerald Raymond Freeman, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Freeman worked with the Tennessee Opportunity Program in support of the elderly. She retired in 1993 to take care of her mother. She did volunteer work with the Enville Community Center. She helped contribute to the Chester County Family History Book. She had a book published about the Lott family history.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 27, at Shackelford Funeral Directors–Johnson Chapel with Lloyd Blankenship officiating. Burial followed in Milledgeville Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Christina Parrott of Jackson, Tenn., and Sharon Pounders of Horner Path, S.C.; a son, Kenneth Raymond Freeman of Cabo, Tenn.; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Betty Lott McGill of Knoxville.
