Patricia Lipford

Patricia Ann Ellis Lipford was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Aurora, Ill., the daughter of the late Melvin Alden and Dorris Marie Norman Ellis.

She was united in marriage to Roy Eugene “Bub” Lipford. Mr. Lipford preceded her in death on May 26, 2000, after 40 years of marriage. In her younger years, she worked as a secretary. Later on she worked as a cook in several local restaurants.

Mrs. Lipford departed this life on Monday, Jan. 21, in Savannah, at the age of 74 years, 4 months, 29 days.

She is survived by two daughters, Wendy Leitschuh and husband Chip of Spring Hill, Tenn., Vickie Barber of Georgia; a son, Michael Roy Lipford of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren, Amanda Barber, Martha Roberts and husband Joey, Grace Leitschuh, Raychel Sherman and husband Jason; two sisters, Sandy Popp and husband Stephen of Batavia, Ill., Peggy Wille and husband Jack of Hyde Park, Ill.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville with Dr. Toni Watson officiating. No visitation will be held on Friday before the funeral services. Burial in the Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville, Tenn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hardin Medical Center Health and Rehab activity fund, Savannah.
