Jerry Lenzing

Jerry Lenzing age 80, was born on June 6, 1932, in New York City, to the late Fred and Annette Lenzing. He died in Stantonville, Tenn., on Jan. 6, 2013.

Jerry served in the Army, in 82nd Airborne in 1950. He retired from American Motors (Chrysler) in Kenosha, Wis., and moved to Stantonville, Tenn., 23 years ago. Jerry worked 10 years for Murray Guard at Aqua Glass. This is where he met a lot of wonderful local people that became friends.

Some of his pastimes were gardening, yard work, especially mowing, working with wood, being with his dog Toby, and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the local pubs, where he would shoot pool, darts, and occasionally dance.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Lenzing; one son, James Lenzing and wife Joyce of Tennessee; two daughters, both of Wisconsin, Debra Bauer and her husband Gene, and Anita Lenzing; four stepchildren, Steve, Karen, Victor, and Patrick; four grandchildren, Jamie, Jeremy and wife Randi, Ayla, and Josie; one great-grandchild, Lucus; step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Mike Skelton and wife Gail; and sister-in-law, Lena Shore.

Thanks to all the friends and family that prayed for him during his battle with cancer. His wishes are to be cremated with no service. Special thanks to the West Clinic, Magnolia Hospice, the Cancer Center of Magnolia Radiation and Deaconess Home Health.
