Peggy Joyce Luckey

Peggy Joyce Luckey was born March 13, 1949 in McNairy County, Tenn., the daughter of the late I.B. and Edyth Washburn Box.

Mrs. Luckey was a retired nurse and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Adamsville.

She departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 22, in Savannah, at the age of 63 years, 9 months, 9 days.

Mrs. Luckey is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Browder and husband Steve of Selmer, and Monica Stricklin of Adamsville; two grandchildren, Benji Smith and Bayli Smith; two nieces, Sharon Brummer and Holly Surratt; a nephew, Bill Maness; two sister-in-laws, Bettie Jordan and Glenda Wilson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Luckey was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pat Luckey; and a brother, William Ferrell Maness.

Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 23, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville, with Tim Elrod officiating. Burial followed in the Adamsville Cemetery at Adamsville.
