Ernest Thomas “Tom” Vaughn, 79, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late JC and Hazel Avanda Arnold Vaughn. He was united in marriage to Helen Deloris Huffstutler, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Vaughn served his country in the United States Army.
Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m., at New Life United Pentecostal Church in Savannah with Rev. Gerald Davis and William Duke officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth National Cemetery at Corinth, Miss.
He is survived by a son, Todd Ernest Vaughn of Pickwick Dam; daughters, Brenda Lee Riggall of Hawaii and Myra Lynn Duke of Morris Chapel; a brother, Richard Vaughn of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, LaDonna Hill of Lakeland, Fla.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Vaughn and Ronald Davis; a sister, Thelma Blevins.
