Sue Garrard

Sue Garrard was born in Crittenden County, Ark., on June 1, 1941, the daughter of the late Taylor Boyd and Myrtle Lee Hudson Paulk.

On Jan. 23, 1965, she was united in marriage to Rex Garrard, who survives.

Sue was a homemaker and member of Temple Baptist Church in Savannah. She lived in Hardin County from 1952 to 1997 and lived in Collierville, Tenn., for 15 years. Sue enjoyed most of all talking with people.

She departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Collierville, Tenn., at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 5 days.

In addition to her husband Rex of Collierville, Tenn., Sue is survived by one daughter, Stacy Rexanna Garrard Freeman of Collierville; one grandson, Chase Lee Freeman of Collierville; three sisters, Ann Bailey of Collierville, Elsie Lane of Marked Tree, Ark., and Betty Beckham of Phoenix, Ariz.

Sue was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Buckmaster and Carrie Lee Stracener; and one brother, Nute Cobey Paulk.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Memory Gardens in Savannah with Robert Smith officiating.
