Coy Webb

Coy H. Webb departed this life on Friday, Oct. 19, at the age of 66 years, 10 months, 20 days.

Coy Hughes Webb was born in Florence, Ala., on Nov. 29, 1945, the son of the late Talmadge Hughes and Thurman Cornual Mitchell Webb. On March 2, 1963, he was united in marriage to Linda Rhea Blount, who survives.

Coy had worked for Clayton Homes as a welder for 18 years and Davis Bro. Block Company for 10 years. He enjoyed riding horses, raising Blue Heelers and welding. He was good at craft work and would build yard decorations, horse trailers and wagons. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Coy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda R. Webb of Adamsville; son, Shane Webb of Adamsville; grandchildren, Colt Webb and Marshall Webb; great-grandchild, Shiloh Webb; sisters, Bernece McClamrock of Memphis, Mary Coats and Ruth Ann Briggs, both of Corinth, Miss., and Marie Blount of Savannah.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Webb; sisters, Jean Pickett and Paulette Alexander; brothers, Lewis Webb and Clifford Webb.

Services were held on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Benny Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Ledbetter Cemetery at Hardin County.
