James “J.C.” Qualls, 71, of Savannah died Saturday, Oct. 13, in Savannah.
He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Covey and Henrietta Hammock Qualls. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Tidwell, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Qualls retired after 43 years from Packaging Corporation of America and he also served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Union Steel Workers of America Maintenance Local 978 and was a member of Faith Pointe Church.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Marcus Whitman officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Qualls, Tim Qualls and Gina Michelle Watkins, all of Savannah; six grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Qualls of Savannah.
