Lola Roberts

Lola Austin Roberts, 92, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, in Savannah.

She was the daughter of the late Waymon and Callie Austin of the Nixon community. She was united in marriage to Lewis E. Roberts, who survives.

Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and an active member of Wesley’s Chapel Methodist Church.

Visitation will be at Wesley’s Chapel Methodist Church on Friday, Oct. 12, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Services will be at Wesley’s Chapel Methodist Church, on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m., with Jim Wright officiating.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth L. Roberts of Savannah; daughter, Kay R. Hanson; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Sylvia Green, Virgie White, Lyla Moore, Thelma Matthews, Edith Lay and Evalee Gurley; and brothers, Roy Austin and Glen Austin.
