James Cox James Cellon Cox, age 77 of Fayetteville, Tenn., former resident of Savannah, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, in Lincoln Care Center. He was a native of Rogersville, Ala. and the son of the late Johnny and Dora Etta Thigpen Cox. Mr. Cox was a mechanic, former owner/operator of Cox VW Repair and a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 24, at Higgins Funeral Home with Lee Allen officiating. Burial followed in Talley Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters Linda Green of Glenwood, Iowa, and Barbara Wolf of Fayetteville; son Michael Cox of Lewisburg; step-children Amy Burton of Fayetteville, Don Blackwell of Fayetteville, Steve Blackwell of Fayetteville and Jeff Blackwell of Fayetteville; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and former spouse Lynda Mary Cox of Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by a son, James Dearlion Cox.
