Billie Wheeler, 80, of Counce, died on Tuesday, July 24.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Emery Thomas and Callie Parsons Massey. She was united in marriage to A.C. Wheeler, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wheeler was a beautician and a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church.

Services were held on Wednesday, July 25, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Dick Haley and Paul Childers officiating. Burial followed in the White Sulphur Cemetery at Pickwick Dam.

She is survived by three sisters, Lela Hubbard of Birmingham, Ala., Bobbie Pillsbury of New Orleans, La. and Marzell Ellis of Navarre, Fla.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard Massey; seven sisters, Loraine Rinks, Amy Williams, Mama McBrayer, Mary Franks, Inez Jaggers, Maxine Dulaney and Anna Rae Massey.
