Jacqueline Bray

Jacqueline Baker Bray, 83, of Waynesboro, died Saturday, June 30, 2012.

Jackie was married to Rev. Ralph Bray for 25 years. They ministered in various church fields in Tennessee, Louisiana and Mississippi. She lived in Nashville for 20 years and cared for the elderly. When her mother became ill, Jackie devoted herself to her care. After the death of her father in 1992, she returned to Waynesboro. Jackie was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Services were held on Monday, July 2, at 3 p.m., Shackelford Funeral Home, with Craig Mason and David Miller officiating. Burial was at Philadelphia Cemetery, Waynesboro, with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by her son; Steve Bray of Jackson, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and brother, James Mack Baker of Sevierville, Tenn.; and niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Hardin Baker and Erie West Baker, husband, Rev. Ralph Bray.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church, 2254 Savannah Highway, Waynesboro, Tenn 38485.
