Teddy Churchwell (6-14-12) service 6-16-12

Teddy R. Churchwell, 76, of Milledgeville, died Thursday, June 14, in Savannah.

He was born on June 14, the son of the late Paulus E. Churchwell and Beatrice Bingham Churchwell Overman. He was united in marriage to Peggy Joyce Hinton, who survives.

Mr. Churchwell was a Korean War veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed at North American Aviation in Hawthorne, Calif. He was active in the Mid-South Paralyzed Veterans of America for many years. He was also a member of the Milledgeville United Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 16, at the Milledgeville Cemetery with Dannie Kennedy, Kim Stewart, Reggie M. Churchwell officiating.

In addition to his wife, Peggy of Milledgeville, he is survived by two brothers, Dennis Von Churchwell of Memphis and Reggie M. Churchwell of Nashville.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Eddie Churchwell; one sister, Paula Fortner; and one brother, Kennie Churchwell.
