Rummy Palmer

Romulus "Rummy" Palmer, 87, of Adamsville, died Sunday, May 27.

He was born in Weakley County, Tenn.

Mr. Palmer served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Japan during WWII. He went on to work for ICG Railroad as a rate clerk from which he retired.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, June 2, at First United Methodist Church in Adamsville with Dr. Toni Watson officiating. Burial was in the Adamsville Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Margaret Coats Palmer of Adamsville; his children, Ronda Durr of Memphis and Thomas Palmer of Adamsville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, R.C. Miller of Murry, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade L. and Audrey Dee Palmer; brother, Lloyd Dickson; and stepsister, Florence Ray.
