Barbara Ann Moore

Barbara Ann Moore, 81, of Counce, formerly of Memphis, retired from American Contract Bridge League in Memphis, died on Saturday, March 24.

She was born on Dec. 3, 1930, to Corvin and Florence Starkey of Columbus, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband of 59-1/2 years William W. Moore; three children Jeff Moore of Memphis, Larry B Moore of Counce, and Sharon Moore of Memphis, two grandchildren Michael W Moore of Nesbit, Miss., Julia Ann Brannon of Memphis, and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Johnny Starkey of Columbus, Ohio, and a sister Virginia Given of St. Albans, W.Va.

She was a member of Pilot Club of Shelby County in Memphis Bridge Club, Hardin County Republican Women’s Club and the Savannah and Corinth Square Dance Clubs. She was also a member of Pickwick United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 7, at Pickwick Methodist Church, 10575 Hwy. 57 Counce. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be sent to the Pickwick United Methodist Church, 10575 Hwy 57, Counce, TN 38326.
