Glen Houston Couch

Glen Houston Couch was born in Savannah, on Oct. 27, 1933, the son of the late Carlos Glen and Clara Irene Tucker Couch.

On Oct. 16, 1960, he was united in marriage to Goldie Murphy, who survives.

Mr. Couch retired from Pickwick State Park as a maintenance worker. He had been a member of the National Guard, a Scottish Rite and a 32nd degree Mason with the Savannah Lodge 102.

He departed this life on Friday, Feb. 24, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, 28 days.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Ken Couch of Crestview, Fla. and Jim Couch of Germantown, Tenn.; a daughter, Judy Pitts of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, Tony Couch, Chris Couch, Shannon Couch, Nick Couch, Shawn Mutters, Michael Pitts, Chelsea Majors, Michael Mutters, Ashley Pitts, Ryan Woodruff, and Peyton Couch; four great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Monday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Paul Childers officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
