Gregory Willoughby

Gregory Barlow Willoughby, 49, of Savannah, died Feb. 9.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of Peggy Barlow Winborn and the late Gene Willoughby.

Mr. Willoughby had worked on the towboat the majority of his life. He was a chief engineer for ARTCO 4-1/2 years and previously for Alton Barge Line for 27 years. He was a member of the Tennessee River Lodge102, F&AM (Masonic Lodge), and attended Hopewell Baptist Church.

Services were held on Monday, Feb. 13, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial followed in the Neill Cemetery at Savannah.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Barlow Winborn of Adamsville; son, Wade Willoughby of Savannah; daughter, Twylla Berry of Savannah; brothers, Jeff and Ricky Willoughby, both of Savannah; sisters, Patty Willoughby Hooper of Toone, Tenn. and Mary Beth Franks of Savannah; several nieces and nephews.
