Billy Allen (2-10-12) service 2-18-12

Billy Clark Allen, 76, of Saltillo, died on Friday, Feb. 10, at his home.

He was born in Henderson, Tenn., the son of the late Dewey T. Smith and Mary Earl Melton Smith.

Mr. Allen was in the Navy four years serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a Baptist in faith. He worked for and retired from Roadway Express after nearly 34 years. He was a member of the Saltillo Ruritans and Teamsters Local 667 in Memphis.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Chester County Memory Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors–Johnson Chapel in charge of the service with Jerry Parker officiating.

In addition to his wife, Jessie Mai Parker Allen of Saltillo, he is survived by a daughter, Jessyca L. Allyn of Memphis; and a son, Danny Clark Allen of Saltillo.
