Tyler Jackson Head, age 20, of Springfield, Tenn., died Friday, Feb. 3, in Clarksville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral service was conducted Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m., in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. David Stockton officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.

Tyler was born May 1, 1991, in Robertson County to Chuck Head and Gina L. Head-Hieber. He was a member of New Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was active in the mission ministry. He was a student at Austin Peay State University, where he was a member of AGR Beta Mu Chapter. He also raised cattle, worked for Precision Soya, and worked for Shade Tree Farms.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Gertrude Bush Head.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Gina L. Head-Hieber and Steven A. Hieber of Springfield; father, Chuck Head of Springfield; brothers and sister-in-law, Chucky Head of Savannah and Jamie Ryan and Elizabeth Head of Springfield; sister, Abbey Elizabeth Head of Springfield; grandparents, Ed and Emma Lutrell of Savannah and Charles E. Head Sr. of Springfield; and niece, Lilah Jane Head of Springfield.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Tyler Head Memorial Fund for Crohn’s and Colitis Research. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
