Kenneth Harris

Kenneth N. Harris, 80, of Adamsville, died Friday, Jan. 27, in Selmer.

He was born in Leapwood community of McNairy County, the son of the late Hobert Harris and Hettie Elliott Gray.

He was united in marriage to Sandra K. Huggins, who survives.

Mr. Harris worked in the maintenance department at Brown Shoe Company for 15 years, operated the Red Bird Service Station in Adamsville, and mastered the art of taxidermy. He was a member of the Mount Sharon Presbyterian Church in Adamsville. He entered the United States Army in the early fall of 1952 and served his country honorably during the Korean conflict.

Services were held on Monday, Jan. 30, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Randy Carroll officiating. Burial followed in the Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Harris of Adamsville; a son, Nickey Harris of Adamsville; two daughters, Cindy Lambert of Pickwick Southside, Robin Roach of Adamsville; a sister, Jane Garner of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, a great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Kenny Harris; daughter, Benjie Harris; brother, John R. Harris; stepfather, Raymond Gray.
