John Leonard Coleman (1-9-12) service 1-13-12

John Leonard Coleman, age 80, passed away on Monday, Jan. 9.

John was born in Huntingdon, Tenn., on Oct. 5, 1931, to the late Cecil Howard and Blondelle (Belew) Coleman.

He is preceded in death by a brother, David Coleman of Millington, Tenn.

He was a veteran of the US Navy during the Korean Conflict; after service, he took a job with the US Army Corp of Engineers, he held various positions, and retired as a realty specialist.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gail (Crowell) Coleman of Nashville; son, Mike (Wendy) Coleman of Huntingdon; daughter, Cherie Coleman Hackney, Nashville; grandchildren: Ashleigh Coleman and Katie Coleman of Huntingdon, Joshua Hackney and Coleman Hackney of Nashville and brother, Charles Coleman of Millington, Tenn.

Funeral Services were held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 13, at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, with interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
