Sharon Sanderson

Sharon Sanderson was born in Hardin County, on Sept. 9, 1961, the daughter of Glen Edward and Emma Lois Burleson Robinson.

On March 21, 1984, she was united in marriage to Cecil Anthony Sanderson, who survives.

Mrs. Sanderson was a sales associate for Goody’s in Savannah for four months and she also had owned and operated Ty’s Treasures in Waynesboro. Mrs. Sanderson was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed scrapbooking, going to flea markets, being on the computer on facebook and she loved playing with her granddaughter, niece, and great-nephew.

Mrs. Sanderson departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 4, in Savannah, at the age of 50 years, 3 months and 26 days.

In addition to her husband Cecil of Olive Hill, she is survived by one son, Tyler Sanderson of Olive Hill; one grandchild, Emmi Rain Sanderson; her parents, Glen and Emma Lois Robinson of Olive Hill; one sister, Glenis Robinson Lowrance and husband Daryl of Olive Hill; one brother, Brian Robinson of Olive Hill; one niece, Mari Emma Lowrance of Olive Hill; two nephews, Blake Robinson and wife Tina and Glennan Lowrance, all of Olive Hill; one great nephew, J.T. Robinson of Olive Hill. Mrs. Sanderson is also survived by a special friend, Rita Russell of Saltillo.

Mrs. Sanderson is preceded in death by one son, Scott Sanderson; and one brother, Glen Edward Robinson Jr.

Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Jeff LaBorg, Josh Stults officiating. Burial followed in the Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
