Ruby Hobbs

Ruby N. Hobbs, 77, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, in Savannah.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Herbert C. and Annie Bonee White. She was united in marriage to Henry Thomas Hobbs, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hobbs was a homemaker. She was a member of Mountain View Church of Christ.

Services were held on Friday, Jan. 6, at Mountain View Church of Christ in Hardin County with Joe Paul Bryant officiating. Burial followed in the Russell’s Chapel Cemetery at Hardin County.

She is survived by three daughters, Annie Marrie Hobbs, Cathy Patricia Copeland and Carolyn S. Gastineau, all of Savannah; three sons, Henry Joe Hobbs of Nashville, James Robert and Larry Wallace Hobbs, both of Savannah; 15 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one brother, Dock White of Savannah; three sisters, Joyce Boroughs and Etta Sue Strickland, both of Savannah, and Thelma Doris Casuater of Arkansas.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lorene Melson, Lillie Hayse and Willie White; three brothers, Frank, Robert Earl and Hubert White; and one grandson.
