Dorothy Francine Ashe Russell, 75, of Bethel Springs, died Saturday, Dec. 31, in Selmer.
She was born in Selmer, the daughter of the late Duncan McCallum and Vera Elizabeth Channell Ashe. She was united in marriage to Robert E. McCall Russell, who survives.
Mrs. Russell worked in the fitting department for 11 years at Brown Shoe Company in Selmer. She had also worked at the Garment factory in Jackson, the McNairy County Board of Education and General Electric in Selmer. She was a member of the Refuge church of Christ in Bethel Springs.
Services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer in Selmer with Ben Flatt officiating. Burial followed in the Refuge Cemetery at Bethel Springs.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Plunk of Adamsville, Diann Harrison of Nashville; a son, Robert Jeff Russell of Bethel Springs; a brother, Herbert Ashe of Selmer; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, William David Russell; brother, Preston Ashe; sister, Pauline McDaniel.
