Doris Whited Doris Fay Stephens Whited, 82, of Adamsville, died Saturday, Dec. 24, at the Hardin Home Nursing Home in Savannah. She was born in Cumberland County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Frank Ealis and Ora Mae Richards Stephens. Ms. Whited was a seamstress for four years for Angelica Manufacturing. Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Charles Linam officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Grimsley, Tenn. She is survived by three sons, Roger of Pensecola, Fla., Danny of Adamsville and Terry Whited of Ashboro, N.C.; one daughter, Sandra Thompson of Savannah; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willis of Adamsville and Bruce Stephens of Savannah; four sisters, Lois Alexander, Lucille Robinson, Donnie Alexander and Nancy Polk, all of Savannah. She was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Dale Whited; and two grandchildren.
