Ronnie Pickens

Ronnie Pickens was born in Hardin County on June 3, 1944, the son of the late Marvin Harold and Rachel Gladys Chambers Pickens.

On Nov. 27, 1963, he was united in marriage to Jimmie Gail Durbin, who survives.

Mr. Pickens was a salesman for Hardin Farm Supply. He also had worked for J & J Ford Tractor Sales for 36 years. Mr. Pickens was a member of new Hope Fellowship Church in Adamsville. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and hunting.

Mr. Pickens departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 16 days.

In addition to his wife, Jimmie Gail of Adamsville, he is survived by one son, Tony Pickens and wife Torri of Adamsville; one daughter, Kim Tallent and husband Jon of Adamsville; four grandchildren, Tristan Pickens, Taylor Pickens, Abigail Tallent and Carly Tallent; one sister, Doris Smith of Stantonville, Tenn.; two brothers, Winston Pickens of Adamsville and Marvin Pickens of Henderson, Tenn.

Mr. Pickens was also preceded in death by one sister, Linda Pickens.

Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m., at New Hope Fellowship Church in Hardin County with Bill McCall officiating. Burial followed in the Ledbetter Cemetery at Hardin County, Tenn.
