Rebecca Hanna (11-6-11) service 11-8-11

Rebecca Hanna was born in Hardin County, on April 16, 1932, the daughter of the late Hubert E. and Eula Willis Powell.

On Jan. 4, 1951, she was united in marriage to Hugh L. Hanna, who preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1994.

Mrs. Hanna had lived in Memphis, but moved back to Hardin County in the 1980s. She enjoyed collecting angels and helping others. She was a member of the Saltillo Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hanna departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 6, at the age of 79 years, 6 months, 21 days.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Fannie Mae Smith of Saltillo and Robbie Powell of Memphis; 10 nieces and nephews; several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Mitchell and Geneva Shirley; three brothers, Tommy Lee, Eugene and Robert Neal Powell.

Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m., at Lebanon Methodist Church in Saltillo with Phil Bridges officiating. Burial followed in the Lebanon Cemetery at Saltillo.
