David Cunningham Sr. (10-27-11) service 10-29-11

David Cunningham Sr., 91, of Michie, died Thursday, Oct. 27, at Bells Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Bells, Tenn.

He was united in marriage to Mildred McAfee, who survives.

Mr. Cunningham was retired from Pickwick Landing State Park. He also owned and operated a general store in Michie for 25 years. He was a former alderman for the town of Michie, officiated TSSAA high school basketball for more than 20 years and was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Services were held Saturday, Oct. 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Selmer. Burial in Lebanon Cemetery, Michie. Arrangements by Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer.

In addition to his wife, Mildred Cunnningham of Michie, he is survived by a son, David Cunningham Jr. of Michie; a sister, Katherine Marler of Corinth, Miss.; one grand child and one great-grandchild.
