Jane Keymon
Jane Keymon, of Clifton, was born in Wayne County, on Aug. 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Tom Frank and Willie Mae Prater Alley.
On July 23, 1956, she was united in marriage to James Roy Keymon, who preceded his wife in death on Aug. 31, 2006.
Mrs. Keymon was a nurse’s aide for Wayne County Nursing Home for 10 years. She lived in Nashville for 30 years and the rest of her life in Clifton area. Mrs. Keymon enjoyed reading, quilting, flower and vegetable gardening. She also enjoyed working different word puzzles. Mrs. Keymon was of Baptist belief.
She departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tenn., at the age of 72 years and 2 months.
Mrs. Keymon is survived by three sons, Steve Keymon of Ashland City, Tenn., Marty Keymon of Nashville and Jamie Keymon of Clifton, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Brandy Keymon Prater, Amber Swaffer, Marty Keymon, Jr. “Bubba” and Tiffany Keymon Prater; one sister, Shirley Hannah of Dickson, Tenn.
She is also survived by one special niece, Angela Johnson of Dickson, Tenn.
Mrs. Keymon was also preceded in death by one son, Roy Dale Keymon; and two brothers, Gene and Jerry Alley.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Don Spencer officiating. Burial followed in the Clifton Cemetery at Clifton, Tenn.
