Billie Joe Johnson
Billie Joe Johnson, 77, of Enville, died Tuesday, Sept. 20.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Aaron Zee and Ira Rea Meek Johnson.
Mr. Johnson had lived in Memphis, where he raised his children and worked for the City of Memphis Parks Commission. He was a member of the Cherry Grove Jesus Name Church.
Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Cherry Grove Jesus Name Church in Milledgeville with Kenneth Fields, Rob Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Milledgeville Cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters, Anita Johnson-Malone of Brookhaven, Miss., Rita Johnson Gultice of Jamestown, Ohio; two sons, Ricky Joe of Horn Lake, Miss. and Randy Eugene Johnson of Mason, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, eight grandchildren; six brothers, Bobby Dee of Milledgeville, Robert of Berea, Ky., Wayne of Oakland, Tenn., Donnie of Enville, Doyle Johnson of Lake Carmorant, Mississippi; two sisters, Linda Johnson Chambers of Milledgeville, Nancy Johnson Adams of Saltillo; mother of his children, Ruby Faye Johnson of Horn Lake, Miss.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Darline Johnson; a brother, James Alton Johnson; two sisters, Betty Rachel Johnson and Glenda Sue Anderson.
